Councillor representing a prominent ward in Onicha-Ugbo, Aniocha North Local Government Area and another eminent youth leader have been commended for their humanitarian gestures and passion for community development.
The councillor, Hon Chiedu Nwaghodoh was commended for his efforts towards provision of jobs for unemployed youths while the youth leader, Hon Francis Osedume was commended for his interest in welfare of less privilleged members of Onicha Ugbo community.
Raining commendation on the duo, Founder of Nigeria Silent Heroes Awards Initiation and the TOSC Charity Foundation, Mr Odita Sunday-Udemaguna noted that there was need to encourage youths who stayed back in the community to ensure progress while many sons and daughters of the land sojourn abroad for greener pastures.
Odita added that Christmas season affords the opportunity to extend little hand of love to those who put humanity first above self.
The recipients of the commendation pledged to work harder for the good of the community.
