In a continued effort to enhance the well-being of its cadets, the Nigeria Police Academy has officially inaugurated a state-of-the-art Sports Viewing Centre within its campus.
The facility was commissioned by the Commandant of the Academy, AIG Patrick A. Atayero, marking another milestone in the Academy’s drive to provide a balanced, holistic environment for future police officers.
The new centre offers modern amenities designed to give cadets and staff a comfortable space to relax, engage with global sports events, and foster camaraderie. It follows the recent launch of a Scrabble and Chess Centre, alongside the development of basketball and volleyball courts all aimed at promoting both the physical and mental well-being of cadets.
Speaking at the ceremony, AIG Atayero reaffirmed the Academy’s commitment to nurturing well-rounded officers who are mentally agile, physically fit, and socially connected qualities essential for modern policing.
According to a statement by DSP Umar Musa Isah
Police Public Relations Officer, the event attracted a host of dignitaries, including senior police officials, partners in sports development, and members of the Academy’s management team, highlighting the significance of the initiative in supporting the welfare and morale of cadets.
