The Commandant, Nigerian Army School of Public Relations and Information (NASPRI), Lt Col Adamu Yahaya Ngulde, has charged graduands of the school’s 3rd Quarter 2025 courses to uphold “the highest standards of professionalism, discipline, and responsibility expected of your rank and new knowledge.”
He gave the charge at the graduation ceremony held on Thursday, September 19, 2025, at the Lt Gen TA Lagbaja Auditorium, Muhammadu Buhari Cantonment, Giri, Abuja.
According to Ngulde, the skills and knowledge acquired by the graduands are critical not just for the Nigerian military, but for the nation.
“This era has shown us that information management, strategic communication, and media operations are indispensable tools both in peace and conflict times,” he stated.
The Commandant stressed that the Nigerian Army continues to confront dynamic and complex challenges in counter-insurgency, internal security, and stability operations.
“In all these, information management and communication have proven to be as critical as kinetic operations,” he emphasized.
Ngulde noted that NASPRI has consistently aligned its training with the philosophy of the Chief of Army Staff, Lt Gen Olufemi Oluyede, aimed at consolidating the transformation of the Army towards building a “well-motivated and combat-ready force.”
While commending the Chief of Army Staff for his unwavering support, Ngulde said:
“His commitment to professional development in public relations has strengthened NASPRI, ensuring it remains a centre of excellence.”
He also appreciated the Chief of Naval Staff, Vice Admiral EI Ogalla, and the Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal HB Abubakar, for their confidence in NASPRI, as well as the Commander TRADOC NA, Maj Gen Kevin Aligbe, and Chief of Training (Army), Maj Gen Abubakar Ndalolo, for their steadfast support.
Earlier, the Acting Chief Instructor, Maj Tonye Wenke, described the graduating class as disciplined and determined.
“The students were taken through rigorous theoretical and practical assessments. Their overall performance was adjudged above average,” Wenke disclosed.
The event climaxed with the presentation of certificates, awards to outstanding students, and group photographs at the NASPRI office complex.
