The family of the late Elder Gilbert Okafor Ibegbulem has announced that his final journey begins on Monday, October 6, 2025, with a Service of Songs at RCCG True Vine Parish, No. 1 Nnakwe Street, Off Arch Angel Street, Behind Eagle Square, Off Okpanam Road, Asaba. The event starts at 4:00 p.m.
Elder Ibegbulem, who joined the saints at 89, lived a fulfilled life marked by faith, family devotion, and service to humanity.
He is survived by his beloved wife, children, grandchildren, and numerous relatives, including Mrs. Caroline Anwuli Ekokwum, Pst. (Engr.) Substance Eberechukwu Ibegbulem, Mrs. Angela Onyinyechukwu Ibegbulem, Dr. Hilary Obioma Ibegbulem, Pst. Franklin Chigoziem Ibegbulem, Mrs. Doris Ngozi Odigwe, and Mr. Godwin Ndubuisi Ibegbulem.
In a heartfelt tribute, Engr. (Pst.) Substance Eberechukwu Ibegbulem described his late father as “a man of peace, wisdom, and unwavering faith.”
“Papa, may your gentle soul rest in peace, Amen,” the family message read.
The Service of Songs marks the beginning of a week of remembrance as family, friends, and well-wishers gather to celebrate the life of a man whose legacy continues to inspire.
