The Anambra State Police Command has commended residents of the state, popularly known as Ndi Anambra, for embracing dialogue and peaceful engagement as a preferred means of expressing their concerns, rather than resorting to unpatriotic actions such as protests or illegal sit-at-home orders.

Following credible intelligence reports on a planned protest in some parts of the state, the Anambra Police Command conducted a thorough security situational assessment. The findings revealed that the people of Anambra have largely rejected disruptive activities and instead chosen peace, unity, and dialogue to resolve grievances.

The Command expressed appreciation to citizens for their commitment to maintaining public order and socio-economic stability. It assured that adequate security arrangements have been put in place to sustain the prevailing peace and protect law-abiding residents as they go about their daily activities.

Commissioner of Police, CP Ikioye Orutugu, reaffirmed that the Command remains steadfast in adopting proactive security measures and strengthening community policing strategies in collaboration with key stakeholders. He noted that such efforts are vital to preserving law, order, and public confidence across Anambra State.
