In a refreshing show of unity and inter-agency cooperation, the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) and the Nigeria Police Force (NPF) have reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening collaboration towards a safer and more secure Lagos State.

The renewed bond was evident on Tuesday, October 14, 2025, when the newly appointed Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Lagos State Command, Superintendent of Police Abimbola Adebisi, paid a courtesy visit to the Lagos State Commandant of the NSCDC, Mr. Keshinro Adedotun, at the Corps’ Headquarters. She was warmly received by Commandant Adedotun alongside the NSCDC Public Relations Officer, Superintendent of Corps Oluwaseun Abolurin.

Welcoming the PPRO, Commandant Adedotun emphasized the importance of sustained synergy between both agencies, noting that effective communication and cooperation are vital to maintaining public confidence and advancing internal security efforts in the state.

“While our focus remains on safeguarding the nation’s Critical National Assets and Infrastructure (CNAI), the Corps is always ready to assist the Police and other sister agencies in fulfilling their statutory mandates,” Adedotun stated.

Responding, SP Abimbola Adebisi expressed appreciation to the Commandant and his team for the warm reception, describing the visit as a step toward deepening inter-agency relations for the collective good of Lagos residents.

“Collaboration between the Police and the Civil Defence is essential for effective crime prevention, de-escalation, and eventual eradication. Working together will no doubt enhance public safety and confidence,” she remarked.

The visit, marked by camaraderie and a spirit of shared responsibility, reinforces the commitment of both agencies to strengthen operational harmony and promote public trust in law enforcement across Lagos State.
