In a bid to improve efficiency and enhance service delivery, the Military Pensions Board (MPB) has introduced new measures to streamline the verification process for the Next of Kin (NOK) of deceased military personnel.
According to a statement signed by Squadron Leader Aliyu Mohammed, Public Relations Officer of the Board, the new verification procedure aims to make the process more convenient, organized, and responsive to the needs of beneficiaries.
As part of the reform, the Board has designated Mondays and Tuesdays as official verification interview days for NOKs. This, the statement explained, will ease scheduling and reduce the travel burden for those coming from distant locations.
In addition, the MPB will now contact NOKs directly through dedicated phone lines to schedule interview appointments on dates most convenient for them. This system, the Board said, allows for adequate administrative and logistical preparation, ensuring a faster and more personalized verification experience.
For inquiries or verification-related communication, NOKs are advised to reach the Board via the following contact lines:
📞 08084177777
📞 08185777777
📞 08077267777
The Military Pensions Board urged all NOKs to cooperate fully with the new arrangement, assuring that the initiative reflects its commitment to transparency, efficiency, and the welfare of military retirees and their families.
“The Board remains committed to maintaining effective communication channels and ensuring a seamless service experience for all military retirees and their families,” the statement concluded.
