TAKES OFF 2020/2021

As we begin the year 2020, we want to once more introduce the maiden Sports University in Africa, the STARS University. Idumuje Ugboko.
The acronym STARS represents the various disciplines which the institution will offer, they are;
Sports
Technology
Arts
Research
Sciences
It is located at Idumuje Ugboko, an agrarian part of Aniocha Local Government Area, Delta state, Nigeria.
The university has a landmass of over 190 hectares.
It is founded by Hon Prince (Dr) Ned Munir Nwoko and is a unique institution yet to be seen in this part of the globe.
It is seated 1000 feet above sea level which makes it’s environment cool and serene.
There have been massive ongoing construction works in the various sections of the school and the various developments are at advance stage of completion for smooth take off.
Periodically, we will be updating you of success stories about this unique citadel of human development.
LET’S TOUR ROUND WHAT IS ALREADY ON GROUND AT THE UNIVERSITY PRESENTLY
THE FACULTY BUILDING
The faculty building is a gigantic structure with three (3) floors. Topmost will be for administrative offices while the lower and ground floor will serve as library, lecture rooms and laboratories. It has a carrying capacity of 1000 students
THE WORKSHOP
The workshop will be a practical engineering site for technicians and engineers. It will consist of the machine (metal work), fitting, foundry, smithy, wielding, carpentry shops and motor vehicle repair unit, with vehicle servicing facility.
The workshop will be utilized for academic work and training of engineering undergraduates and also manufacture of equipment for teaching and research, maintenance of machines and equipment.
There is a functional borehole to aid activities
MALE HOSTEL
The male hostel structure consists of 10 flats of 4 bedrooms per floor. Attached to each flat are parlor, kitchen and wardrobe. Each bedroom is self contained. Each room will be air condition and with fridge. There will be a security unit, canteen and a haircut salon.
FEMALE HOSTEL
The female hostel structure is 10 flats of 4 bedrooms per floor. Attached with parlor, kitchen and wardrobe. The rooms will be air conditioned, well furnished with fridge and other hostel utilities. There will be a hair dressing salon and boutique. A security unit attached. There will also be a yoga studio, laundry, small restaurant and bar which will serve both the male and female hostels.
CAFETERIA
The cafeteria has a capacity for a minimum of 1000 users and will house banks for Banking activities.
JUNIOR STAFF QUARTERS
There will be 10 blocks of simple 2 bedroom flats each for the junior staffs with parlor, kitchen and domestic office features
GOLF COURSE
This is a naturally landscaped 9-hole golf course which will complement the newly proposed international standard golf course which will have 18 holes. Often and most recently, top competitions have been held in this golf course organized and funded by the Founder of the proposed university
GUEST HOUSE
There is already completed guesthouses for lodging. Visitors are assured of their personalized attention, quietness and clean environment
THE ANIMAL PARK
Different species of land, arboreal and aquatic animals are housed in an enclosed park which is displayed to the public for site attractions.
The enclosed park is built to replicate their natural habitats or behavioral patterns for the benefit of both the animals and visitors.
PROJECTS COMMENCING SOON
HOSPITAL
There is a clinic existing which will be renovated and upgraded to standard in earnest. There will be an emergency department to treat urgent health problems. Standard medical equipments will be available to be manned by and operated by specialized medical and nursing staffs. A pharmacy will be built to avail drugs.
SHOPPING MALL
There will be a shopping arcade consisting of multiple shops for retailing activities with connecting walkways. These shops will be multi-owned. It will have a large parking space, emergency and firefighting equipment
SPORTS COMPLEX
The sports complex will have a guest house, swimming pool, football, volleyball and basketball pitch, fitness gym, spa, tennis and most indoor activities. It will also house a sports shopping complex
CLUB HOUSE
A club house will be built for relaxation and other related activities ranging from music, games, cinema, Wendy house, spa and gym houses. It will be located at the newly proposed 18-hole golf course
18-HOLE GOLF COURSE
An 18-Hole golf course will be built in the section of the university, best refers to as the green zone.
It will be for hosting professional and international golf tournaments.
It will begin and end at the club house for the convenience of the players and the club.
Taking into cognizance is the natural landscaping, aesthetics cohesion of vegetation, water bodies, paths, grasses, stonework and woodwork among other elements.
SENIOR STAFF QUARTERS
10 units of 3 bedroom flats will be built. Each flat will have a parlor, kitchen and domestic office.
The Vice-Chancellor’s lodge will be located close in this quarter. All basic amenities will be available.
COLLEGE
A college which will consist of primary and secondary will be built with all facilities made available. It will be a constituent part of the university. There will be a combination of dormitory style accommodation and day students schooling.
FUELING STATION
A fueling station will be provided close to the university consisting of a lube bay, convenience store, discount stores, warehouse and supermarket
