The Senator representing Delta North Senatorial District, Prince Ned Nwoko has held a meeting of leaders, elders, and stakeholders of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), in Asaba, ahead of the Delta local government elections, tasking them on credible and fair election.
A source close to the meeting informed that they resolved to pursue youth inclusion in governance and resolved on the importance of gender balance in leadership.
According to the source, Sen. Ned Nwoko specifically emphasized the importance of a free, fair, and credible nomination process as a pathway to success.
Also, in support of Chief Edwin Uzor’s view, Senator Ned Nwoko also emphasized the need to integrate non-indigenes into the party structure, particularly in wards with significant non-indigenous populations
Alongside with him at the meeting were the state Governor, His Excellency Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, the Deputy, His Excellency Sir Monday Onyeme, and the immediate past Governor, His Excellency Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa, and many other leaders who were in attendance.
