Publisher of Apexreporters Magazine and Security Media News, Hon. Chukwudi Samuel Timothy, marked his birthday with a strong call on the Nigeria Police Force to uphold professionalism and fairness in handling cases.
In a statement on Saturday, Hon. Samuel celebrated gallant officers of the Force, commending those who “continue to stand on the side of justice” while urging the institution to weed out elements whose conduct undermines public trust.
On a past encounter at a police facility in Lagos, the publisher recalled how he was briefly confronted over a petition. He, however, noted that senior officers intervened to ensure due process was followed.
According to him, “many innocent Nigerians are languishing in detention due to poorly investigated cases and the influence of powerful interests. This must change if the police must retain public confidence.”
Hon. Samuel particularly hailed former Inspector General of Police, Chief Mike Okiro, AIG Zone 2 Mustapha Adegoke, and ACP Justice Edino Ojali of the X-Squad, describing them as “leaders who have shown that policing with integrity is possible.”
The publisher also dismissed negative online reports circulated against him, insisting they were the handiwork of detractors.
“I will not be distracted. False allegations cannot derail my rising public image. I remain focused on my work and on speaking up for justice,” he declared.
He emphasized that his birthday was not just a celebration of life but a reaffirmation of his “commitment to stand for truth, fairness, and accountability.”
