Amidst pomp and ceremony on Sunday, July 2, 2023, Onicha Ugbo Patriotic Union (OPU), Abuja City Centre Branch elected new officials to pilot the affairs.
Leading the new executives as chairman is one of its illustrious son’s, Mr Patrick Chiemeke, an accomplished public administrator.
Others are Dr. Steve Okonkwo, elected Vice Chairman, Mr Adikwanfu Collins, the new Secretary and Mr Enwemogbor Mike, as the Assistant Secretary.
Others are Mr Uzoka Ambrose, elected Treasurer, Odita Sunday Udemaguna, a frontline journalist as Publicity Secretary, Mr Nwokolo Chinye as Financial Secretary,
Mr Emma Nwokolo as Provost I
And Eze Henry, Assistant Provost II.
The election was presided over by elders of the branch.
The event was followed by traditional ‘E gor Ofor’ prayers for the new exco and all sons and daughters of Onicha Ugbo residing in Abuja by the Owelle of Onicha Ugbo, Chief Atugboko, a retired police chief.
