Oluwo of Iwo mourns Olubadan

The Paramount Ruler of Iwoland, His Imperial Majesty, Oba Abdulrosheed Adewale Akanbi, has described the death of Olubadan, Oba Lekan Balogun Ali, Okunmade II, as a monumental loss to the traditional institution most especially in Yorubaland.

 

Oba Akanbi commiserated with the Balogun Ali-Iwo family of Ibadan and entire Ibadanland over the demise of Oba Lekan Balogun.

 

A condolence statement released by Oluwo through his press secretary, Alli Ibraheem, reads “The death of the Olubadan of Ibadanland, HIM Oba Lekan

Balogun Ali, Okunmade II was a monumental loss to the traditional institution most especially in Yorubaland. He was an asset who served Ibadanland and Nigeria meritoriously”

 

“I commiserate with the Ali Balogun family of Ibadan and Iwo. He was a pride and positive symbol who represented the family and Ibadanland diligently. We are missing you already”

 

“I pray God will forgive your shortcomings and grant you Aljana Firdaus. Once again, my condolences to Ibadanland “
