The Foundation Laying Ceremony of the ultramodern market will hold on Wednesday, October 26, 2022 at Borikiri International Market, Sandfill Layout, Phase II, Port Harcourt, Rivers State.
NOWA President on behalf of the members and staff of the association however cordially invites guests and well-wishers to the foundation laying of the multifunctional International market which will take place on Wednesday, October 26.
The initiative is the first of its kind in the great community of Borikiri.
According to NOWA President, the international market would create more exchange of goods and services, more employments and higher income to Borokiri Community.
The international market will also capitalize on the strategic location and the presence of a jetty which gives access to about 16 riverine communities.
The proposed NOWA International Market, Borokiri has 936 Shops, 240 Open Stalls, 16 warehouses, four new generation banks and state of the art abbattoir with verterinary services.
it would be recalled that Hajia Nana Aisha Gambo had said her mandate as the NOWA President is to lead the Naval Military Officers’ Wives and the core of it is the betterment and enhancement of the organization.
“The support ranges from empowerment of women, personal development, financial support and many others.
“My personal development in life and focus has been on sustainable development of the less privileged and it has been my passion even before I became the NOWA President.
“I have taken pride in doing a lot of philanthropic activities such as providing access to clean water in communities, empowering young and upcoming women in the business world and awarding scholarship programs to mention a few,” she said.
The NOWA President said that her vision is to be an inspiration to many people especially the young up and coming business women in the society.
“I believe my actions, my stories and my work will help motivate and inspire them,” she added.
A former NOWA President, Mrs Margaret Koshoni will also grace the occasion as the Special Guest of Honour.
