The Nigeria Police Academy (POLAC) has sounded the alarm over a surge in fraudulent admission offers being circulated online by impostors posing as academy officials.
In a public advisory, the Commandant of the Academy, AIG Patrick Adedeji Atayero (B.Sc, M.Sc, MBA, PSC), urged the general public particularly prospective cadets, parents, and guardians to exercise caution and avoid falling prey to internet fraudsters operating fake websites, blogs, and social media accounts.
He reiterated that the only legitimate platform for processing admissions into the Academy remains the official website: www.polac.edu.ng.
“Admission into the Nigeria Police Academy is entirely free of charge and based strictly on merit,” Atayero stated, noting that the 2024/2025 admission process has officially closed.
He warned against making payments to unauthorized individuals or platforms claiming to facilitate entry into the Academy.
The institution reaffirmed its commitment to integrity, transparency, and the highest standards in law enforcement education and training.
