The chancellor of the proposed STARS University, Idumuje-Ugboko and former House of Representatives member, Prince Ned Nwoko, has expressed sadness over the passage of Nosike Ikpo, foremost Senator from Delta North Senatorial district.

In a statement in Abuja, Prince Nwoko affirmed that an honest politician and respected statesman had gone home to rest.

According to the former member of the House of Representatives, “Senator Nosike Ikpo will be dearly missed for the experience he brought to bear in the politics of Delta State and beyond.

“The pioneering Anioma Senator was a man of courage, truth integrity and patriotism. He was passionate about the progress of Anioma in particular, Delta State and Nigeria in general. We all had one thing or the other that we learnt from this great politician. Indeed, he had left an indelible mark in the service of humanity.

“Delta has lost one of her greatest politicians. I pray for the repose of his soul. On behalf of my family and political followers, I sympathise with his immediate family, the people of Ibusa and Anioma, Deltans and Nigerians at large over the demise of a truly iconic former Senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, the late Nosike Ikpo,” Nwoko stated.
