The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has announced a rescheduled date for its highly anticipated Monday Okpebholo Anti-Drug Abuse Marathon for secondary school students in Edo State. Initially slated for October 4, 2025, the event will now take place on December 6, 2025, in a bid to enhance drug awareness and prevention among the youth.

The marathon, which is part of the NDLEA’s broader campaign to combat drug abuse and its associated challenges in Nigeria, is expected to attract hundreds of students from various secondary schools. Participants will not only be restricted to a spirited athletic competition but also take part in enlightenment focused on the dangers of drug abuse and the importance of a drug-free lifestyle.
