Lamin Saidykhan Appointed Africa Coordinator for IWPC Events

The International Women Power Conference (IWPC) has announced the appointment of a Youth Development Expert and Civil Rights Activist, Mr. Lamin Saidykhan as the Africa Coordinator for the Conference.

Under his new role, Mr. Saidykhan is expected to spearhead critical outreach efforts, engage sponsors, invite top dignitaries, and enhance the IWPC’s impact across Africa.

In a release signed by the President and Founder of IWPC, Dr. Chris Oko Odey, he expressed hope that Mr. Saidykhan’s appointment will advance IWPC’s objectives, secure key partnerships, and reinforce the organization’s commitment to empowering women across the African continent.

Reeling out Mr. Saidykhan’s experiences over the years, the release said, “With over a decade of dedicated experience in development work, Mr. Saidykhan has consistently championed sustainable democracy, inclusion, and human rights across Africa. As a trained advocate from the Youth Initiative for Advocacy, Growth, and Advancement (YIAGA AFRICA) on Campaign Advocacy and Movement Building, he has been instrumental in fostering youth political leadership and strengthening democratic principles across the continent.

“His notable leadership includes roles in The Gambia National Youth Parliament, where he served as National Speaker, and as former Chairperson of the Serrekunda East Youth Committee under the National Youth Council.”

IWPC also applauded his contributions to youth development and leadership which it said are globally recognized.

A Certified Ambassador of the Young Political Leadership School Africa in Liberia, an Ambassador at the World Youth Leadership Centre in Rwanda, and a recent recipient of the Global Youth Leadership Award 2023, the organization is delighted that his extensive experience in both national and international youth initiatives makes him uniquely suited to amplify its mission, empowering women and promoting leadership on a transformative scale.
