Taraba State Governor, Dr. Agbu Kefas, has called on media practitioners in the state to strengthen collaboration with his administration by promoting government policies and programmes to the people.

Governor Kefas made the appeal during an interactive session with journalists at the TY Danjuma House, Government House, Jalingo. He described the media as indispensable partners in governance, stressing that accurate and factual reporting was vital for the progress of both the government and the citizens.

The governor, while acknowledging public assessment of his two years in office, assured that his administration is working tirelessly to lay a solid foundation for a sustainable and prosperous economy in Taraba.

He disclosed that the development of a state master plan would provide a clear roadmap for his administration and successive governments, ensuring continuity in development efforts.

Governor Kefas also announced plans to embark on a tour of all local government areas to obtain first-hand information from citizens, which, he noted, would guide policies and decisions tailored towards inclusive growth.

While thanking journalists for their continued support, he urged them to remain steadfast in discharging their duties without compromise.

Journalists at the event commended the governor for his strides in transforming the state and urged him to prioritise infrastructural development across critical sectors.
