The Department of State Services has arrested two of its dismissed operatives, identified as Barry Donald and Victor Onyedikachi Godwin, over alleged fraudulent activities conducted under the guise of the Service.
In a statement shared on its verified X page, @OfficialDSSNG, the agency recalled issuing disclaimers against the duo who had been parading themselves as DSS personnel.
“The culprits have been apprehended and will face prosecution in accordance with the law,” the DSS said.
It added that plans were underway to publish names of other previously dismissed staff to protect Nigerians from falling prey to similar scams.
The Service reaffirmed its commitment to professionalism and accountability, urging the public to remain alert and report suspicious persons claiming DSS identity.
