The Dr. Ameyo Stella Adadevoh (DRASA) Health Trust is celebrating a decade of impact in public health, leadership development, and disease prevention across Nigeria, as it marks its 10th anniversary this October.

Founded in 2015 in honour of the late Dr. Ameyo Stella Adadevohwhose heroic action halted the spread of Ebola in Nigeria DRASA has grown into a leading public health organization championing infection prevention, capacity building, and health system resilience nationwide.

The 10th Anniversary Celebration, scheduled for Monday, October 20, 2025, in Abuja and online, promises to be a landmark event highlighting ten years of protecting health, preventing disease, and preserving a legacy. The event will bring together government officials, development partners, private sector leaders, health professionals, community champions, and youth networks to reflect on the organization’s achievements and unveil its future roadmap.

According to the organizers, the anniversary will feature the premiere of a 10-minute documentary chronicling DRASA’s journey and impact from grassroots to government. Guests will also experience an immersive digital “Impact Showroom,” where they can explore DRASA’s stories, results, and data through interactive online rooms.

In addition, the organization will officially launch its Endowment Fund described as a first-of-its-kind initiative designed to ensure the long-term sustainability of Nigeria’s health security efforts.

Over the past decade, DRASA has recorded impressive milestones. It has also contributed to the development and review of 28 national and subnational public health policies, and established 13 emergency response systems across major points of entry including airports, seaports, and land borders.

In addition, DRASA has facilitated six cross-border health forums between Nigerian officials and neighbouring countries, and distributed over 31,000 units of personal protective equipment (PPE) to frontline health facilities across the country.

Speaking on the milestone, the Managing Director of DRASA Health Trust, Mrs. Niniola Williams, said the anniversary is not just a celebration of the organization’s journey, but a renewed commitment to the vision that inspired its founding courage in the face of crisis, and determination to prevent infection and protect health.

She added that the next decade would focus on scaling impact, leveraging innovation, and ensuring that no community is left behind.
