In furtherance of his commitment to uplifting his people, grassroots politician and philanthropist, Sir Chukwudi Izegbu, on his birthday engaged in a strategic discussion with Councillor Victor James, who represents Wellingborough Council in the United Kingdom.
The meeting centered on ways local government councils in Delta State can benefit from global opportunities in three critical areas: access to international grants for development projects, sustainable development initiatives, and promoting effective followership with strong youth engagement.
Speaking after the deliberation, Sir Izegbu exclusively told Razornewsng.com that his mission goes beyond rhetoric, stressing his resolve to bring impactful change that would liberate his people from prolonged suffering.
“I do not believe in rhetoric. I want to be impactful in liberating my people from long suffering. What is happening in Nigeria today is worrisome, and it is time we leverage our education and exposure to take Nigeria to the next frontier,” he stated.
Councillor James, in his remarks, assured of his readiness to share expertise and provide linkages that would connect Delta State councils with international platforms where resources and support for grassroots development can be accessed.
Sir Izegbu’s initiative is seen as part of his broader commitment to service and his continuous drive to make meaningful contributions to the lives of ordinary people in Delta State.
