It was a moment of pride and celebration at the Police Special Fraud Unit (PSFU), Ikoyi-Lagos, as the Commissioner of Police, CP Rose Chollom Dung, decorated four Team Managers of the Unit with their new ranks of Chief Superintendent of Police (CSP).
The officers were among those recently promoted by the Police Service Commission (PSC) in recognition of their hard work, dedication, and professionalism.
Speaking during the decoration ceremony, CP Dung congratulated the newly promoted officers and praised their exemplary service and integrity in combating financial and cyber-related crimes. She reminded them that promotion comes with greater expectations and urged them to see their new ranks as a call to higher responsibility and deeper commitment to the ideals of the Force.
“Promotion in the Nigeria Police Force is not merely a reward for past efforts, but a challenge to do more,” CP Dung stated. “You must continue to uphold the principles of integrity, discipline, and selfless service that define our duty to the nation.”
She charged the officers to lead by example and contribute meaningfully to the Unit’s operational excellence, in line with the vision of the Inspector General of Police, IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, to build a more professional, accountable, and service-oriented Police Force.
In a show of appreciation, CSP Eyitayo Johnson Olaiya, who spoke on behalf of the newly promoted officers, expressed heartfelt gratitude to the Commissioner for her exemplary leadership and mentorship. He assured that they would continue to serve with loyalty, diligence, and commitment to the ideals of the Nigeria Police Force.
The brief but colorful ceremony was attended by senior officers and members of the Unit who joined in congratulating their colleagues on the milestone achievement.
