The Chief of Defence Staff (CDS), General Christopher Gwabin Musa, on Tuesday, September 23, 2025, received members of the Northern Bridge Builders Forum on a courtesy visit at the Defence Headquarters, Abuja.
Led by Senator Joel Danlami Ikenya, the forum commended the Armed Forces of Nigeria (AFN) for their sacrifices in safeguarding national peace and unity. Ikenya hailed the military’s role in restoring security, which has enabled farmers to return to their farmlands and boosted agricultural activities.
He further dissociated the forum from negative criticisms of the AFN, urging the military to sustain its momentum against insecurity. Highlighting improved safety along the Abuja-Kaduna highway, he described it as a clear testament to the AFN’s success.
Responding, General Musa expressed gratitude for the solidarity visit and reassured Nigerians of the AFN’s unwavering commitment to protecting lives and property.
He praised the forum’s diverse membership, calling them true patriots dedicated to fostering peace and unity.
The visit ended with renewed assurance of cooperation in advancing national security.
