Residents of Lifecamp District, Abuja, have expressed concern over the growing heap of refuse littering major streets and open spaces in the area. The unattended waste dumps, which have become an eyesore, not only give the Federal Capital Territory an ugly look but also raise serious public health concerns.

Despite its status as the nation’s capital, poor waste management by the FCT Administration has left many communities struggling with indiscriminate refuse disposal. Residents lament that the once serene Lifecamp environment is now battling with foul odour, blocked drainages and an increasing risk of disease outbreaks.

Watchers are calling on the FCT Administration and its waste management agencies to urgently address the situation before it degenerates into a major environmental crisis that could further dent Abuja’s image as a model city.
