In a renewed push to bolster public safety and maintain law and order, the Anambra State Police Command has called on residents to remain vigilant and continue to assist security agencies by exposing unrepentant criminal elements in their communities.
The Command, in a statement issued by the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), SP Tochukwu Ikenga, emphasized the critical role community participation plays in preventing crime and strengthening security efforts in the state.
“We urge residents not to be discouraged but to remain proactive in providing useful information that can lead to the apprehension of criminal elements,” the statement read.
To reinforce this call, the Joint Security Team has intensified surveillance operations and patrols across key locations in the state to deter any form of criminal activity and respond promptly to emerging threats.
Residents in need of security assistance are advised to contact the Command Control Room on 07039194332 or reach out to the PPRO directly via 08039334002. The public is also encouraged to download and utilize the ‘NPF Rescue Me’ app, available for free on both Android and iOS devices.
