The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has carried out a series of coordinated missions under Operation Fansan Yamma (OPFY) Sect 3, targeting hostile elements across Kakihun, Oke-ode, Babanla, and surrounding areas in Kwara State.
The decisive operations, conducted on 28 September 2025, included reconnaissance, close air support, and surveillance flights, which gathered critical intelligence to bolster ground operations.
According to the NAF, hostile elements sighted east of Babanla were “decisively engaged” in sustained strikes designed to neutralize threats and protect both troops and civilians.
Reaffirming the Force’s resolve, Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame, Director of Public Relations and Information, said:
“These missions reaffirm NAF’s commitment to protecting troops and civilians, maintaining air superiority, and sustaining pressure on hostile actors. All operations were completed successfully.”
The NAF further assured Nigerians of its unwavering determination to safeguard the nation’s territorial integrity, while urging citizens to remain confident, vigilant, and supportive of ongoing military efforts aimed at restoring lasting peace and security.
