The Nigerian Police Force (NPF) has arrested over 100 suspected gay men who attended a wedding ceremony in a hotel in Delta State.
It was gathered that the suspects are currently being detained at the police headquarters in Asaba, the state capital.
The police said they received a tip-off about the wedding ceremony and raided the hotel.
Homosexual relationships are illegal in Nigeria and punishable by up to 14 years in prison.
The bill outlawing gay relationships and same-sex marriage in Nigeria was assented to in 2014 by former President Goodluck Jonathan.
