Governor Zulum Boost Security in Borno, Donates Operational Vehicles, Accommodation to Police, Military

Prof. Babagana Umara Zulum, the Governor of Borno has approved the distribution of 110 operational vehicle and 250 housing unit to police and military in the state.

The excercise which tookplace on friday at Maiduguri Government House Premises.

Kayode Egbetokum, Inspector-General of Police has commended Governor Babagana Umara Zulum for his generous donation of operational assets to security agencies in Borno State

According to Kayode The donation includes 110 vehicles and 500 motorcycles, which will enhance the operational capacity of security personnel in responding to emergencies and patrolling communities.

This gesture demonstrates Governor Zulum’s commitment to supporting security efforts and maintaining law and order in the state.

Kayode who assured that the operational assets will be put to immediate use to enhance the security of the people of Borno State, also commended the strong partnership between the state government and security agencies, promising to continue this partnership and build on the progress made.

Kayode expressed gratitude to Governor Zulum for his unwavering support to security agencies, noting that this donation will go a long way in improving the delivery of services to the people of Borno State.

He reiterated the commitment of the Nigeria Police Force to working closely with the state government to ensure the safety and security of all citizens.

While reacting Gov. Zulum express gratitude to Kayode for taking his time to witness this momentum even amid his tied sechedule.

Today is a momentum day for me to witness the presentation of 110 vehicles and 500 motorcycles to security agencies in the state which aimed at enhancing mobility and operational capabilities, is part of the state government’s efforts to combat insecurity and social vices.

Gov. Zulum stated that 60 vehicles will be allocated to the police, while 50 vehicles and 500 motorcycles will go to the military.

Additionally, a commissioning of 40 housing units for police officers will take place at Wulari.

He noted that the donation will fill the identified gap in the operational domain of the security architecture.

He emphasized that security is a vital ingredient for development, thats is why the state has invested heavily in security and law enforcement.

Governor Zulum also commended the Inspector-General of Police, Commissioner of Police, and other security agencies working in Borno State.

The governor further announced that all divisional officers in Borno will benefit from this gesture, and key crime-fighting platforms will be granted access to the vehicles. The theatre commander will distribute the vehicles according to need analysis.

He expressed gratitude to the federal government, led by President Bola Ahmed Tinibu, for providing strategic leadership and support to security agencies.
