Ubulu-Uku, a once peaceful and thriving agrarian community in Aniocha South Local Government Area of Delta State, is now gripped by fear.

Women no longer go to their farms, families live in constant fear and apprehension, and the once-bustling farmlands are now abandoned.
The reason? The rising: wave of killings, kidnappings, and destruction caused by violent Fulani herdsmen.

Recently, women from Ubulu-Uku community based in Lagos took to the streets in protest, decrying the unrelenting attacks by killer Fulani herdsmen. These attacks have not only claimed innocent lives but have also plunged the community into severe food insecurity. Their crops are trampled and eaten by roaming cattle, leaving farmers with nothing to harvest and families struggling to survive.

In a shocking video circulating online, herdsmen were seen intentionally destroying cassava plantations deliberately wiping out the hard work of local farmers. This is not just a crisis, it is an act of war against the people’s right to live and feed their families. With their lands under siege and their lives in danger, where will the people of Ubulu-Uku turn?

The evidence is clear, the pain is real, and the people have had enough. The time for action is now! The government and security agencies must intervene urgently to end this reign of terror before the community is completely devastated.
