*Urges Governor to Deepen Reforms, Prioritise People’s Welfare

Former Anambra State Governor and immediate past Minister of Labour and Employment, Senator (Dr.) Chris Nwabueze Ngige, has congratulated the incumbent Governor, Prof. Charles Chukwuma Soludo, CFR, on his sweeping victory at the November 8 governorship election.
Ngige, in a goodwill message personally signed and released from London on Sunday, described Soludo’s triumph — winning across all 21 Local Government Areas of the state — as “a resounding referendum on his sterling performance since March 17, 2022, when the mantle of leadership was placed in his hands.”
“This overwhelming mandate reflects the people’s confidence in your fiscal prudence, infrastructural drive, and human capital development initiatives,” Ngige stated.
The elder statesman, fondly called Odenigbo, noted that while no administration is perfect, the governor’s re-election offers “a golden opportunity for reflection, rededication, and renewed service to the people of Anambra.”
“This second missionary journey affords you the chance to correct past errors where necessary and to work with greater zeal for the welfare, peace, and security of our people — in line with Section 14(2)(b) of the 1999 Constitution,” he added.
Ngige prayed for divine wisdom and guidance for the governor as he continues his development agenda for the state, urging him to sustain the momentum of progress already set in motion.
“May the good Lord continue to guide you, bless our beloved Anambra State, and prosper Nigeria,” he said.
He concluded his message with a rousing endorsement:
“Odenigbo says — carry go!”
