The Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Defence, Dr. Sunday Attah, has ordered a review of the recent ordnance explosion at the Defence Industries Corporation of Nigeria (DICON), Kaduna, with the aim of strengthening safety measures and preventing future occurrences.
Dr. Attah made the call on Thursday, September 25, 2025, during an inspection of the scene of the September 21 blast, which shook the DICON facility.
While addressing staff of the corporation, he urged them to remain steadfast and not allow the incident to dampen their morale or commitment to duty.
Briefing the delegation, the Director General of DICON, Major General B. I. Alaya, assured that the situation was under control and reaffirmed the corporation’s commitment to maintaining operations in line with established safety protocols.
Dr. Attah was accompanied on the inspection visit by senior officials of the Ministry of Defence.
