The Police Community Relations Committee (PCRC) and the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) have reaffirmed their commitment to strengthen collaboration with the Joint Task Force, Operation HADIN KAI (OPHK), in tackling insecurity across the North East.
‎
‎Leading a delegation to the OPHK Headquarters in Maiduguri, the Borno State PCRC Chairman, Ambassador Abatcha Umar Nanabe, said the visit was aimed at deepening ties with the Theatre Command. According to him, “Our mission is to build stronger bridges of collaboration in the field of security, not just in Borno but across Nigeria.”
‎
‎He thanked OPHK for supporting the recently concluded PCRC 1st Borno State Security Training Workshop at the University of Maiduguri, noting that such gestures would further cement the relationship between the military, paramilitary agencies, and the public. Nanabe also extended condolences over the death of Colonel Bello Umaru, late Commander of the 7 Military Intelligence Brigade.
‎
‎Responding, the Theatre Commander, Major General Abdulsalam Abubakar, assured the PCRC that OPHK would continue to sustain partnership with the Committee in security and civil-military cooperation. “Our fight against insurgency thrives on synergy. We value this relationship and will continue to strengthen it,” he said.
‎
‎In a separate engagement earlier in the day, the new Borno State Commandant of NSCDC, Commandant Mohammed Hassan Agalama, also paid a courtesy visit to OPHK Headquarters. He praised the Armed Forces of Nigeria for their immense support in training and joint operations, stressing that NSCDC remains committed to safeguarding critical national assets in line with its mandate.
‎
‎Agalama appealed for more cooperation, stating: “The Armed Forces have been a pillar of support. We seek to deepen this collaboration for the overall interest of national security.”
‎
‎Major General Abubakar, in his remarks, commended NSCDC’s frontline contributions and assured continued partnership. “The strength of OPHK lies in its joint structure, bringing together personnel from multiple security agencies. The NSCDC has been outstanding, and we will sustain this synergy to achieve greater results,” he affirmed.

‎The visits ended with the exchange of souvenirs and group photographs.
