The Nigerian Army has continued its decisive crackdown on terrorists and criminals across the country, recording fresh gains between September 4 and 6, 2025.

The operations led to the neutralization of two terrorists, arrest of seven criminal suspects including a female logistics supplier and the recovery of weapons, a stolen vehicle, petroleum products, and other exhibits.

In Borno State, troops of 192 Battalion, supported by the Hybrid Force, engaged ISWAP/JAS fighters around Kwatara Kasa Village along the Gwoza–Limankara Road. One terrorist was killed in the firefight, while others fled towards the Mandara Mountains.

In Adamawa, troops of 232 Battalion intercepted two suspected petroleum smugglers in Mubi South with 19 jerrycans of fuel loaded on motorcycles.

Similarly, in Zamfara State, 1 Brigade troops working with the DSS arrested a notorious female logistics supplier linked to bandit kingpin Ado Aliero in Tsafe LGA. She was caught with a mobile phone, ₦37,000 cash, and other items, and confessed to being a drug dealer.

In the Federal Capital Territory, 176 Guards Battalion mounted a snap roadblock that led to the interception of a stolen vehicle traced from Osun State. The suspects abandoned the car but were later tracked to a hotel in Gwagwalada, where three criminals were arrested. Troops recovered the vehicle, 11 mobile phones, and ₦29,700 cash, handing them over to the police.

Troops also scored big in Plateau State. Acting on information from a captured terrorist informant, soldiers uncovered a weapons cache in Mista Ali Village, Bassa LGA. The suspect attempted to escape during the operation and was neutralized. Two AK-47 rifles were recovered, with efforts ongoing to apprehend his accomplices.

The Army emphasized that these operations highlight its unwavering determination to dismantle terror networks, disrupt criminal activities, and recover illegal arms nationwide.

It reaffirmed its commitment to creating a safer environment to boost agriculture and strengthen food security in line with Federal Government priorities.
