The Nigerian Armed Forces have recorded yet another major victory in the ongoing war against terrorism, as the Nigerian Air Force (NAF), in a joint mission with ground troops, neutralised more than 30 insurgents in Borno State.

According to Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame, Director of Public Relations and Information at NAF Headquarters, the operation took place on Friday, 5 September 2025, at Dar-El-Jamal village in Bama Local Government Area.

He explained that the coordinated air and ground assault was launched after terrorists engaged friendly forces in the area.

Acting swiftly, the Air Component of Operation Hadin Kai (AC OPHK) deployed an Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) team, followed by precision air interdictions. The ISR scans revealed terrorists fleeing northwards into nearby bushes, but in a series of three targeted strikes, the aircrew successfully neutralised over 30 fighters. Reinforcement troops later secured the town, stabilising the situation and preventing further escalation.

This success not only highlights the seamless synergy between air and ground forces but also reaffirms the Nigerian Armed Forces’ determination to dismantle terrorist networks and restore peace to the North East.

NAF assured Nigerians that it remains resolute in sustaining deliberate and collaborative operations with sister services to safeguard lives across the country.
