Transcorp Hotels Plc, the hospitality arm of Transnational Corporation Plc, has announced a stellar unaudited financial performance for the first half of 2025, recording a 60 percent increase in revenue and a 71 percent surge in gross profit year-on-year.
In its H1 2025 results released for the period ended June 30, the company posted a revenue of ₦47.57 billion, a significant leap from ₦29.72 billion recorded in the same period in 2024. Gross profit also rose from ₦21.19 billion to ₦36.21 billion, pushing the gross profit margin up to 76 percent, an impressive feat amid Nigeria’s inflationary pressures and rising operational costs.
In line with its commitment to value creation, Transcorp Hotels has approved a total interim dividend payment of over N1.024 billion. Shareholders will receive ₦0.10 for every 50 kobo ordinary share, subject to withholding tax.
A major highlight of the period was the launch of the state-of-the-art Transcorp Centre, a 5,000-seat event venue positioned as Nigeria’s largest corporate facility. This milestone reinforces the company’s ambition to lead the hospitality and events space in Nigeria while opening up new revenue streams.
Chairman of Transcorp Hotels Plc, Emmanuel Nnorom, said the company’s robust half-year performance underscores the success of its transformative strategies and unwavering focus on innovation and operational excellence.
“Transcorp Hotels’ outstanding performance in the first half of 2025 further validates our transformative strategies, with a laser focus on innovation and operational efficiency.
It affirms our steadfast dedication to delivering investor returns and signals our profound confidence in Transcorp Hotels’ future growth. Moving forward, we are confident in our ability to consistently raise the bar for the industry, fulfilling our mission to redefine hospitality in Africa,” Nnorom stated.
Managing Director/CEO, Uzo Oshogwe, echoed the sentiment, highlighting the strength of the company’s business model and its iconic assets, including the flagship Transcorp Hilton Abuja and the new Transcorp Centre.
