Pomp, Praises To God Marks 2024 Police Christmas Carol in Abuja

In a spectacular display of festive cheer, the Nigeria Police Force hosted the 2024 Christmas Carol of 9 Lessons in Abuja, bringing together government dignitaries, officers, and members of the public in a joyous celebration of the yuletide season.

The event, which lasted till late night, was held at the new Police Resource centre, Jabi, Abuja on Friday.

To many of the attendees, this year’s carol was spiritually uplifting and memorable occasion as the police ushered in the festive season with hymns, prayers, and thanksgiving.

The General Overseer of The Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor Adeboye let the exhortation and prayers.

The programme reflected the commitment of the Nigeria Police Force under IGP Kayode Egbetokun to foster peace, unity, and community spirit among officers, their families, and the general public.

The dignitaries at the ocasion were the Senate President, Senator Godswill Akpabio; the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Senator George Akume; Deputy Speaker House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Ben Kalu and many other Senators and lawmakers, including the wife of the IGP, Mrs. Queen Elizabeth Egbetokun.

The event also featured a special ministration by Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye, the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, whose message of hope and faith inspired all attendees.

The programme was full of special Christmas songs including renditions of carols by the Nigeria Police Choir, scripture readings, and goodwill messages.

According to the IGP, “The Christmas season signifies God’s ultimate love to humanity. May we partake in this season by sharing selfless love to all around us. And may this love bring peace and progress to our nation. “
