All is set for the Skyewise Advancement Foundation’s seminar for young entrepreneurs and business startups.
Briefing newsmen on the event billed for 9.am on November 30, 2024, at Musa Ya’radua Centre, Abuja, President of the foundation, Dr. Elvis Abuyere noted that the event, nurtured by his 4-year old foundation, aims at empowering young people and making the self reliant.
The theme for this year’s event is “Cultivating the Young People For Tomorrow Economy.”
According to Abuyere, their mission is to give a sense of belonging to young Nigerians and urge them to depend less on white collar jobs and embrace entrepreneurship.
He noted that the event, Meet the CEO 4.0, would serve as an opportunity to learn from pool of successful Chief executives.
He hinted that the wealth of a nation does not largely depend on money in circulation, but on production.
“If you can succeed in business in Nigeria, you can succeed anywhere in the world. Government should provide enabling environment for businesses to thrive in Nigeria.
“We are cultivating young Nigerians to believe in themselves.Participation will be free. It is part of our corporate social responsibility. We believe we want to give knowledge to the society.
“Our keynote speaker is Dr Cosmas Maduka. We are not charging for it. The future of Africa is entrepreneurship. We want young Nigerians to contribute to the economy of Nigeria, just the way it is done in China, where young people contribute in building Chinese economy.
“If young people have a sense of direction, they won’t involve in crime. Idle mind is devil’s workshop. The seminar is open to all ages, however, our primary target are young Nigerians. Youths are the future of Nigeria.”
Abuyere was flanked by the Corporate Services Manager of Skyewise Group, Ifeoma Akpotue and trustee of Skyewise foundation, Oluwole Senkoya.
