Following Supreme Court ruling that upheld the victory of the APC governorship candidate in the last governorship election in Osun State, Senator representing Lagos East senatorial district, Bayo Osinowo has congratulated executive governor of the state of Osun Sate, Gboyega Oyetola, saying his victory is a well deserved one.
In a statement signed by his media aide, Prince Oladega Ibrahim, Senator Osinowo also congratulated people of the Osun State and members of APC in the state for standing firmly with the party while the legal battle lasted.
In the same vein, Osinowo congratulated the judiciary for living up to expectation as the bedrock of the society and the last hope of then masses even as it served victory to the deserving party in its judgment that has put dispute over Osun governorship election to rest. He added the ruling of the Supreme will further boost the trust of the people in the judiciary system.
Giving kudos to the leadership of APC for fielding a credible candidate like Governor Gboyega Oyetola, Osinowo likened the action to what is obtainable in Lagos state where the fact that party has always gotten it right with its candidate is the reason why the state has not derail as far as developmental programs are concerned even as every in-coming administration has built on the foundation laid since 1999 towards achieving a mega Lagos. He added he was sure Osun state will attain the next level as Oyetola will build on the legacy of his predecessor with whom he was closely as the Chief of Staff.
Commending the consistency and strategic direction of the National Chairman of APC, Comrade Adams Oshiomole and National leader of the party, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, that helped significantly in ensuring the victory at Osun, Senator Osinowo expressed fear that the people of Osun would have been the victims of misruling if the PDP had been able to hijack the state through their usual way.
In the same vein, the Atuwase of ijesa land who doubles as the Lisa of the same land, Chief Olu Akerele also felicitated with Governor Oyetola for his victory at the apex court. He expresses the victory is a sign the judiciary can still be trusted. However, the former aide to late Bashorun Mko Abiola also advised the governor to continue with his style of government in carrying every stakeholder along in the scheme of things.
