A grand plan by Zamfara state government to embark on a dirty smear campaign against a former governor of the state and now Minister of State Defence Hon Bello Matawallen Maradun MON, has been uncovered.
An investigation into a viral video of a wanted Northwestern bandits kingpin Bello Turji linking the former governor of the state and now Hon Minister of state Defence Hon Bello Mohammed Matawallen Maradun MON to the escalating armed banditry in the state and beyond, revealed that an ex-convict Musa Kamarawa
who was imprisoned by the former governor following his involvement in gun running and supply of logistics and other essential needs of armed bandits in Zamfara state is the mastermind of the viral video clip of Bello Turji
It was gathered that Musa Kamarawa, commissioned by the Zamfara state government, assigned his younger brother Aminu Kamarawa to visit Bello Turji and interviewed him at his hideout to set the smear campaign agenda against the minister.
It was also discovered that hitherto the conduct of the interview with Bello Turji, Musa Kamarawa, who is an in-law to Bello Turji, has been in Zamfara Government House for some days planning the smear campaign against the former governor.
Bello Turji Kachalla was used by Musa Kamarawa, whose Anty is married to the bandits kingpin, following the recent arrest of the aggrieved Turji’s relations at the Sokoto International Airport on their return from Mecca after performing this year’s Muslim pilgrimage.
Bello Turji accused his rival bandits kingpins Kabiru Maniya and Bashar Maniya, whose elder brother late Kachalla Dullu, along with his several footsoldiers were eliminated by Bello Turji sometimes ago, of giving revesling to security operatives his secrets and targets that led to the arrest of his relatives and attacks on his footsoldiers. It was also discovered that both
Kabiru Maniya and Bashar Maniya repented and surrendered their weapons to the DIA through the Sokoto Brigade Command sometimes during Bello Matawalle’s administration.
Investigations further revealed that Bello Turji is accusing Bello Matawalle of letting the Maniyas go away with their weapons when they repented.
Musa Kamarawa, angered by Bello Matawalle, who sent him to prison for gun running and other related banditry atrocities, but released by the present administration of Gov Dauda Lawal, sought a contract for a smear campaign against the former governor Bello Mohammed Matawalle. He recruited an Islamic cleric Musa Assada Sokoto, a celebrated critique of Bello Matawalle since when he was Gov of Zamfara State and other staunch enemies of the minister to execute the contract.
According to our investigations, the video clips are being edited by a social media handler of Gov Dauda Lawal. The video editor, identified as Mugira Yusuf, sometimes back edited some videos to tarnish the hard earned image of the minister but confessed to the crime following his arrest and interrogation. Presently, Mugira is defending Bello Turji’s actions and possession of arms.
