Seasoned architect and entrepreneur, Kanyinebi Mmobuosi has officially declared his intention to represent his Aniocha/Oshimili Constituency in the House of Representative.

His decision to aspire for the green chamber was received with loud applause as the entire members of his constituency rolled out drums in excitement.

KBM, as friends and associates fondly call him, according to one of his constituents, is not just a career politician but also an experienced technocrat with proven impact.

“He is the brain behind the designs of numerous spectacular buildings across Nigeria. Politically, he has always been a member of the PDP right from the get-go.

“Brilliant and brimming with youthful vibrancy, Kanyinebi has put his creative mind to good use severally for the benefit of his community, and youth development.’” He said.

During his address to ward executives and party supporters, he asserted the need to change the narrative in representative politics.

Kanyinebi advocated that aspirants imbibe the culture of prudence and focus on their vision for the people, rather than just lavish spending during elections to score cheap points.

He reiterated that when aspirants are made to spend so much money on consultations and elections, then when sworn into office, the duties of such office would be sacrificed in order for the politician to recover his expenses.

He further explained that his consultations have been modest due to the fact that his primary aim is to inform his party about what he is going to do differently when elected into seat.

It would be recalled that Kaiyinebi’s father had once contested for same position 30 years ago, under the banner of SDP.

According to another constituent, Laurence Izegbu, “The trait of excellence seems to be a generational endowment that runs through the Mmobuosi family as Kanyinebi’s younger brother is Dozy Mmobuosi, the renowned software guru who developed an app that aids farmers in the rural areas of Africa to access funding as well as market their produce.”

The well-schooled Kanyinebi attended ABC Nursery Land Ilupeju Palm Groove between 1983 to 1985, Sunny Side Nursery and Primary School Ilupeju Palm Groove between 1986 to 1992,

Federal Government College, Odogbolu, Ogun State between 1993 to 1999,

1999 – 2004: Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma, where he bagged Bsc Architecture between 1999 to 2004.

He had his National Youths Service Corp  (NYSC) between 2004 to 2005 and bagged his M.Sc. Architecture Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria between 2005 to 2008.

A well-groomed designer and builder, Kanyinebi has attended training/ Seminar in Abu Dhabi in Real Estate Development and Sustainability.

He also holds a Diploma in Interior Design.

He is a member of the Nigerian Institute of Architects, member, Architects Registration Council of Nigeria and member Society of Landscape Architects (SLAN).

The Delta-born politician is also a member of the International Federation of Landscape Architects (IFLA) and he is happily married with children.
