The Nigeria Police high command today paraded no fewer than 32 adult over their alleged involvement in kidnappings, homicide, armed robbery, among other crimes
Parading the suspects before newsmen at the Special Tactical Squad STS office Guzape Abuja, the Force Public Relations Officer CP Frank Mba said that all the suspects were arrested by officers and men of the Inspector-General of Police IGP’s Special Tactical Squad unit of the Force at their various hideouts.
The suspects, a gang of car theft syndicates are namely Kasimo Mohammed 30, Irana Abubakar 33, Mustapha Bagudu 30, Bala Abubakar 55, Ibrahim Abubakar 36 and Nasiru Musa 30.
Police authorities said the suspects worked in a very coordinated manner to steal cars from different parts of Nigeria and smuggle them through Niger border where the cars are sold to Alhaji Garba.
The Police image-maker further said that the stolen vehicles are mostly Toyota vehicles and Alhaji Garba is not a receiver of stolen car but also a dealer on arms ammunitions.
He also hinted that the gang has stolen a total of seventeen cars as they had got strong preference for Toyota Corolla and other brands of the vehicle due to its marketability
He added that a total of fifteen stolen cars had been recovered by the Police authorities from the crime suspects adding that persons who lost their cars should come for proof of ownership to collect their vehicles.
Another criminal suspect arrested and parades by the STS operatives was named Dayabu Mohammed aged 27 from Soba Local Council Area of Kaduna State.
According to the Police Spokesperson, he was arrested by the Police operatives during their crackdown on bandits at Saminaka forest in in the north west.
The crime suspect’s major task according to the Police image maker is to ferry arms and ammunitions and other weapons from the sources that supply weapon to the bandits and bad elements
Exhibit items said to have been recovered from the suspect include Gulf Car used to convey these ammunitions, 250 live ammunitions and 5 Ak 47 rifles were recovered from the suspect.
In his confessional statement, the middle aged man confessed to ‘ve carried out five different operations adding that he had ferried a total of 400 ammunitions to the bandits for their illegal activities.
Other criminals arrested and paraded by the Police include Saleh Ibrahim, 35, Abdullahi Suleiman 40 and Aliyu Suleiman 37 who operated along Abuja- Kaduna road as kidnapping kingpins that kidnapped and sexually harrassed one Hajara Mohammed and one other woman.
The Police authorities also said that the suspects had rustled twenty four 24 cows belonging to one Bature who was their neighbour before they were arrested.
The other suspects are a set of five (5) armed robbers namely Mohammed Lawali (AKA Laywer), Suleiman Ibrahim, Monsuru Abubakar and Bashir Audu and Abubakar Hamisu.
The criminal gang members were allegedly involved in the robbery operations in Niger State whic is their base and in one of their attacks one of them killed eighteen innocent persons.
Some exhibits said to have been recovered from the suspects include 19 AK 47 rifles, 2 locally made pistols,1 General Purpose Machine Gun GPMG, 17 Toyota Vehicles, 453 rounds of ammunitions and different sizes of knives.
One of the suspects Bashir Audu is a key suspect in the supply of hard drugs used for the operation by group and other criminals for their dastardly acts.
The Police Spokesman said all all the suspects had been indicted for the offences they were arrested for and  would all be charged to court of law for their involvement after its investigation.
