The Rivers State Police Command has announced the commencement of the physical/credential screening exercise for prospective recruits into the force.
According to spokesperson of the Command, SP Grace Iringe-Koko, “This is to inform the general public, especially all Rivers indigenes who have applied for the ongoing recruitment into the Nigeria Police Force (NPF), to report to the Alfred Diete-Spiff Civic Centre, Moscow Road, Port Harcourt from Monday, 8th to 29th January 2024, with the following documents for the Physical/Credential Screening Exercise:
- Evidence of Physical/Mental Fitness from a government-recognized medical hospital.
- Evidence of good character from each village/district head of applicants.
iii. Original and duplicate copies of the certificate of origin duly signed by the Local Government Chairman or Secretary.
- Original and duplicate copies of the National Identity Card/Slip.
- Original and duplicate copies/declaration of age.
- Printout of the application form.
vii. Duly completed Guarantor’s form.
viii. Invitation Slips.
Candidates are also required to bring recent passport photographs, two white flat files, and all applicants are to appear at the screening center in clean white T-shirts and shorts (knickers).
Candidates should arrive at the screening venue at 0800HRS daily on the date indicated on their invitation slips.
The Commissioner of Police, Rivers State Command, CP. Olatunji Disu psc, wishes all the shortlisted applicants a successful screening exercise. He further assures the general public that the statutory entry requirements into the force, as clearly stated in the Police Acts and Regulations, will be followed accordingly.
The Commissioner urges the shortlisted applicants to conduct themselves in an orderly manner and avoid acts capable of undermining the exercise. It should be noted that the exercise is absolutely free.”
