It’s almost a month ago Oluwo launched his book “Code Of Kings”. Few days to the public unveiling, I wrote an epistle titled “Oluwo Returning Glory To Traditional Institution”. Therein, I gave an insight into the book.
As a thirsty writer building his strength on constructive criticism, I’ve been waiting for the hunters to trigger, priests to consult, and even lion to roar after the public presentation of the historical and eventful book. I read the rich and widely circulated post launching comments many great Nigerians most especially the Chairman of the Nation Newspaper, Prof. Adebayo Williams. I know Oluwo to an embodiment of knowledge who identifies and deals with the reasonable, I mean people that matters. At peruse of The review by the book reviewer, Dr. Faleye, I’ve strong conviction that the book has passed the test of this generation and truly re-engineering and restoring the glory to the adulterated traditional institution.
With the unrepentant and unapologetic trust of Oluwo on pure monarchy devoid of idolatry, and the resultant gaining of momentum through vigorous awareness, I begin to see a new air, hope and assurance in having a new generational kings in few years to come who will commit their stools to protect the sanctity of Godliness they symbolize and represent. The old stories of riding on traditional institution to lump certain religion with the rich Yoruba culture and traditions is fizzling. My generation are been enticed to take traditional chieftaincy title, jostle for vacant stool and uphold oneness of God. If not God who used Oluwo, many of my class may also belief no king can survive without belonging to secret society, bowing to gods and all sorts.
The pillar is standing, firm at this critical stage of exposure and exposition. As some Christians and Muslims are being led by the advanced knowledge of Godliness, so also are few kings taking a new path of honour to traditional institution. Oluwo, has, for record, endured the pains to entice many generations to monarchy. The institution is becoming enviable with glittering future.
The liberation of a people comes with a path created by a worthy leader. The leader pay the price. It may be in form of stones, debris or more, only a focused one lead till end. Oluwo is one. We look forward to criticism from hunters, priests, clerics and even writers. The stones they throw will be used to build more houses. Both the constructive and destructive are strengths
