OGE ELUMELU: A Rising Star Economist In The Making

Spread the love

It is a common saying in most African societies that when a child washes his hand clean, he could dine with the elders.  Ogechukwu Elumelu the first daughter of Dr. Tony Elumelu, a celebrated banker and Chairman of Heirs Holdings is unarguably shaping herself in the mould of a “child” with clean hands and would certainly dine with the elders some day in the comity of global economists.  It is only a matter of time and grace of God.

Born some 22 years ago by a banker father and medical doctor mother,  Oge as she is fondly called,  first received her education in History & Religious Studies from St. Catherine’s Bramley School in United Kingdom.  She later attended the prestigious London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) where she bagged a Bachelor of Arts degree in 2023, showing her exceptional brilliance.

With deep interest in following the professional steps of her father, Oge is already shaping herself to possibly do better what her father, a banker/economist has done over the years.  She has steadily shown interest in climbing the same ladder as her internship in the father’s office where she learnt the fundamentals during her holidays as undergraduate remains indicative of her willingness to walk on the path of a banker/economist and possibly emerging tops in the global arena.
