In a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Sir Festus Ahon, on Wednesday in Asaba, Governor Oborevwori described the renowned traditional ruler as a man of peace who had continued to lead his people with love, kindness and humility.
He said that Obi Efeizomor who is the immediate past Chairman of Delta State Council of Traditional Rulers, was a great symbol of peace and unity and had used his privileged position to impact positively on his people and the entire state.
The Governor said the monarch’s long reign had recorded massive and impressive turnaround in infrastructural and human capital development and had brought enduring peace to Owa kingdom.
Oborevwori said: “It is with great pleasure and humility that I join your subjects and the entire Delta Traditional Rulers’ Council in thanking God Almighty for your life because your reign in Owa land has continued to be peaceful and prosperous, with your subjects excelling in various walks of life.
“You have continued to use your fatherly role and wise counsel in ensuring peaceful co-existence in Owa land and their neighbours.
“As immediate past Chairman of Delta State Council of Traditional Rulers, we appreciate your leadership role and astute contributions in making Delta State a peaceful state among citizens and kingdoms.
“As a great patriot, peace builder and elder statesman, you have contributed your quota in positively impacting on the development of your kingdom and our dear State.
“On behalf of my family, the government and people of Delta, I congratulate you, Your Royal Majesty, Obi (Dr) Emmanuel Efeizomor II, OON, the Obi of Owa Kingdom, on the occasion of your 64th coronation anniversary,” the governor said.
