The Federal Government has restated that the National Social Investmnent Programmess Agency,(NSIPA) and
National Social Safety Nets Coordinating Office (NASSCO), remain under the supervision of the Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation.
The Presidency on Tuesday said that the President was not aware of any executive bill to the Senate to bring NASSCO or NPOWER under the Presidency.
According to the Presidency, “this was a shocker as it would, of course, not be in good faith at this crucial time when Nigerians are expectant.
“It will only lead to disruption of implementation, which has begun seamlessly”
“The restructured programmes design, which is to address 15 million households to take the poor and vulnerable households in Nigeria out of poverty in line with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda will continue to remain under the supervision of the Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation”
