The Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) has honored the late former Immigration Boss, David Shikfu Parradang, in a solemn farewell ceremony that underscored his legacy of dedication and service.

The event, marked by a dignified 21-gun salute, brought together colleagues, dignitaries, and well-wishers who paid their last respects to a leader remembered for his discipline, wisdom, and commitment to strengthening the NIS.

Parradang, who served as Comptroller General of Immigration, was credited with key reforms that improved the efficiency of the service.

He dedicated over 30 years to public service, working across various states, including Kano, Lagos, Kwara, Enugu, and the Federal Capital Territory.

He also attended professional courses both locally and internationally.

The current Comptroller General, KN Nandap, led the NIS in ensuring the ceremony was conducted with honor and precision, reflecting the institution’s appreciation for Parradang’s invaluable contributions.

Born on September 6, 1959, in Pankshin, Plateau State, Parradang earned a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Jos and a Master’s in Public Administration from the University of Lagos.

He was also a member of the prestigious National Institute, Kuru, and was recognized as an Officer of the Federal Republic (OFR).

Though he has passed on, Parradang’s legacy lives in the foundation he built and the officers he mentored.

The NIS has once again demonstrated that it honors those who serve with distinction.

May his soul rest in peace.
