The Delta State Commissioner for Culture and Tourism, Lawrence Ejiofor has encouraged Deltans not to give up but keep up the good work of showcasing our culture and tradition as part of efforts to help the Delta State tourism thrive.
He made this statement at the closing ceremony of the 2022 National festival for arts and culture (NAFEST) which was held at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena, Onikan Lagos featuring 29 States. The Honourable Commissioner said that Delta has a lot that is worthy of showcasing and good enough to attract tourists and foreign investors.
Speaking in line with the theme “Culture and Peaceful Co-existence”, Ejiofor who attended the event in the company of the Permanent Secretary, Angalaere Umukoro, all the directors and some members of staff urged Deltans to always look beyond the competition to the opportunities that abound including networking with like minds to engender the peace Nigeria stands for, and promote our culture in the process.
