For his commitment to anti-malaria project in Africa, Prince Ned Nwoko has emerged top at the ‘WHO IS WHO’ top 4 humanitarian Awards.
The Award was received in Abuja. The organizers after reading his citations, commended his efforts for taking bold steps to combat malaria, the deadliest epidemic in Africa.
Billionaire Philanthropist and Antarctica explorer Prince Nwoko lauded the organizers for taking note of his Foundation’s anti-malaria in Africa project and also took advantage of the opportunity to call on all well-meaning global citizens to join the fight against the malaria scourge.
The Prince Ned Nwoko malaria elimination campaign was flagged off via a symbolic expedition to the Antarctica by Nwoko in January, 2020.
The Antarctica is surrounded by a vast, unbroken and dynamic body of water known as the Southern Ocean, which constitutes about 15% of the world’s total ocean surface.
Nwoko, recently hosted Nigerian Hip-hop sensation, David Adeleke aka ‘Davido’ to a breakfast.
According to reports, the duo discussed the scourge of malaria in Africa and possible collaboration to end malaria in Africa.
When he celebrated his 59th birthday anniversary, Governor of his home state, Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa described the former member of the House of Representatives as a “committed patriot” whose love for his state and country was commendable and worthy of emulation.
In the words of Okowa then, “Prince Ned Nwoko has continued to blaze the trail by providing and offering leadership at various strata of the society and I urge you to continue to serve your people well without relenting.
“You have created several jobs and provided many opportunities for our people to utilize their potential and earn a decent means of livelihood through your investments and philanthropy.
“Over the years, you have maintained a large, devoted and loyal followership and bestrode Delta’s political scene like a colossus due to your famed generosity and large-heartedness.
“You have exhibited the traits of a man who is committed to doing everything possible to make life better for your people and not like those thinking of what they can get from the people.
“On behalf of the government and people of Delta, I congratulate you on the ocassion of your 59th birth anniversary.
“In the past 59 years, your family and indeed, your political and business associates and admirers have had cause to be grateful to Almighty God for having granted you a life of great accomplishments and abiding fulfillment,” he stated then.
