Security expert in the area, Zagazola Makama hinted that the swift response of soldiers in Alau ensured the evacuation of civilians to safer locations, mitigating potential casualties.
The General Officer Commanding (GOC) 7 Division visited the affected Bulama and other areas, reassuring them of their safety and urging cooperation with security agencies deployed in the community.
He emphasized the importance of collective efforts in combating Boko Haram Terrorists (BHTs) and Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP).
In a show of solidarity, the State Secretary and Director of State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA) also visited the affected village to assess the damage caused by the flood.
The military’s prompt response and the government’s proactive measures have helped alleviate the situation, but the community remains vigilant in the face of this natural disaster and ongoing security challenges.
